Contact Person is a Legal Duty!
If your Estonian company’s management board is located outside Estonia 🌍, the Commercial Code 📜 requires appointing a contact person in Estonia 🇪🇪. This role can be fulfilled by a virtual office service provider 🏢.
The contact person must be a notary, notary’s office, advocate, law office, sworn auditor, audit firm, or a licensed trust and company service provider 🕴️. The virtual office providers listed in our Marketplace have the necessary licenses to offer this service 📜.
If a member of the management board or a key role like a partner, shareholder, or procurator resides in Estonia 🏠, they can also serve as the contact person 👤.
When registering a company in Estonia as a non-resident, you must provide the address of the management board’s location outside Estonia in the Commercial Register 🗃️.
